Today is an important day for us. We are thrilled to finally share with the world the very first original EP on Mindgame Records of our dear founders @birdsofmind, in collaboration with the Ukrainian talent, our friend @kirillkirik . ✨

This release holds a special place in our hearts as it not only marks their original debut on the label but also brings forth a truly remarkable gem. It is an emotional and vulnerable journey for both the Birds and the label, originating from a serendipitous encounter two years ago with the incredible artist Kirik in Ukraine. 🇺🇦

During a memorable performance by the sea of Asov in the summer of 2021, the Birds had the pleasure of having Kirik in the audience right being them, unbeknownst to them at the time. However, Alex & Adrian were already long-time admirers of his productions and his label @memoryremainslabel .It was only the following day, through Kirik’s Instagram stories, that they discovered he was there. Before leaving Ukraine, the Birds made it a point to connect with Kirik in person. The energy between them was undeniable, and from that meeting, their beautiful first EP “You Gonna Make It” was born. 🌄

The EP opens with the mesmerizing track ‘You Gonna Make It,’ a deep house masterpiece adorned with shimmering chords and a hauntingly beautiful vocal sample. Kirik then takes us on a journey into dreamy sunset territory with his majestic piano chords, gracefully blending with crisp tech beats. The collaboration continues with ‘Kiss Me,’ a classy and soulful late-night house groove featuring well-placed samples, jazzy melodies, and the enchanting piano of Hugues Pietrini.

It is important to mention that since their meeting, Ukraine has experienced significant challenges, and the special place where they first connected has been greatly affected by the current conflicts. This release stands as a testament to the power of music, bringing people together across borders and serving as a tribute to the resilience of Ukraine and the hope for peace worldwide. 🕊️
